Arizona southern rocker, Christopher Shayne, released his new single, “Pour The Bottle,” today. Listen/purchase HERE. The track reinforces the raw songwriting talent of the golden-throated young vocalist while mixing hard-charging self-aware intent with good-time guitar riffing and instant sing-along choruses.
Of the song, Shayne comments, “’Pour The Bottle’ is our ‘guitar muscle’ song that is about willful self destruction. Sometimes you just want to let go and make a couple bad decisions, and that’s what this track is about; bad decisions, regret and having a damn good time doing it!”
“Pour the Bottle” is Shayne’s second release from his upcoming EP, Ten High, which is due out January 22, 2021 via Carry On Music. Ten High is now available for pre-order.
Influenced by blues artist R.L. Burnside, the Black Crowes, Blackberry Smoke, and the ultimate in southern rock, ZZ Top, Shayne brings an authenticity to his songwriting, blending his own life into relatable lyrics with a genuine nature truly appreciated by his fans. He has performed nationwide at Phoenix Raceway and PBR Velocity Tour, along with providing direct support for The Cadillac Three, Molly Hatchet, Shooter Jennings, and more.
Shayne’s longtime band includes Dave Lansing (lead guitar), Trevor Hammer (percussion), Mark Blades (vocals/bass guitar) and Zachary Hughes (keyboards, vocals, guitar).
Carry On Music CEO Tom Lipsky says “Christopher and his band are staking their claim as leaders of next generation Southern Rock, with blazing guitars and powerful vocals continuing the tradition of bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchet and Blackfoot. “Pour The Bottle” is right in the pocket, and we believe fans will love this next step in Christopher’s musical career.”
